To use certain cloud features of EmuCoreX (such as syncing save states, BIOS configurations, controller profiles, and other cloud features), you may create an account or sign in using Firebase Authentication (including Google Sign-In).

When you create or sign in to an account, we may collect:

• Email address
• Name
• Profile picture (if available)
• Firebase User ID

This information is used solely to identify your account, provide cloud synchronization, and manage your account across devices.

1.2 Local Data and Files

EmuCoreX is an emulator. It requires access to your device's storage to load game ROMs, BIOS files, and save data.

• Access: We only access folders and files explicitly selected by you.
• Privacy: All game ROMs and user-generated save files remain on your device unless you explicitly enable cloud synchronization. We do not scan your device for unrelated files or personal data.

1.3 Cloud Storage

If you use cloud features, your synchronization data (such as save states, BIOS settings, controller profiles, and application settings) may be securely stored using Firebase services.

These data are associated with your account and are used only to synchronize your information across your devices.

1.4 Usage Data and Analytics

We use third-party services to monitor and improve the App:

• Google Analytics for Firebase – collects anonymous usage statistics to help improve the App.
• Firebase Crashlytics – collects crash reports, device model, Android version, and technical diagnostic information when the App crashes.

1.5 Advertising Data

For the free version of EmuCoreX, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect:

• Advertising ID (AAID/IDFA)
• IP address
• Device information
• Ad performance and interaction data

If you purchase the Pro Version or Remove Ads, advertising-related data collection through AdMob is disabled.

1.6 Game Metadata (IGDB)

EmuCoreX uses the IGDB API to retrieve game metadata, including but not limited to:

• Game titles
• Cover artwork
• Descriptions
• Release information
• Genres
• Developers and publishers

This information is displayed within the App to improve your game library experience.

When retrieving metadata, the App may send identifiers such as the game's filename or title to the IGDB service in order to match the correct game. No personal information is shared with IGDB for this purpose.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App.
• Authenticate your account.
• Synchronize your cloud data across devices.
• Optimize emulator performance.
• Improve compatibility.
• Analyze App usage.
• Provide customer support.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

3.1 Retention

We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to provide the services described in this Privacy Policy or to comply with legal obligations.

Deleting your account does not remove game ROMs, BIOS files, save files, or other local data stored on your device.

We use secure cloud infrastructure provided by Firebase and Google Cloud to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or Internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will promptly delete it.

We do not distribute games, BIOS files, or copyrighted content.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use any ROMs or BIOS files loaded into the App.

The App may contain links to third-party websites or display content obtained from third-party services such as IGDB.
